About This Course

This is the first collaborative disaster volunteer credential created by the organizations that will use it to keep their volunteers safe and updated on the skills they need to perform effectively in disaster response. The Collaborative Disaster Volunteer Credential Level 1 is a 10-hour course that provides the learner with a solid foundation on which to build their knowledge. It is suggested that leaders and managers may use this course to credential volunteers in low-risk roles.

At the end of this training learner’s scope of work and volunteer tasks could include low risks tasks such as greeters, receptionists, warehouse distribution, community assessments, and schedulers.

After completing The Collaborative Disaster Volunteer Credential Level 1,  students will:
